A note from MCVP about their violence prevention work on campus:
We at the McCluskey Center for Violence Prevention (MCVP) strongly believe that there is not one way to end sexual violence. There are many amazing resources for survivors on our campus and in the community! At the MCVP our way of centering survivors is through primary prevention, which means stopping violence from ever happening in the first place. We work toward educating people about harmful behaviors and how everyone can engage in harmful behaviors, sometimes without even recognizing it. We are working to shift the narrative from teaching people how to avoid experiencing harm to teaching people to not to CAUSE harm.
Follow us on Instagram to keep up to date with different ways to engage with the MCVP - @uofucvp OR join our newsletter.
